We're Pregnant!

After 7 months of trying to get pregnant on June 5, 2004 our dream for a 2nd child together was finally going to come true. I took a home pregnancy test and it came out positive! I was thrilled. My husband was out with our son, he was 1 1/2 at the time. I decided to go out and get another test to be sure. I was just so excited and couldn't believe it.  I got one of those digital tests that says Pregnant or Not Pregnant right on it.  I took the test and clear as day it said Pregnant.  When my husband got home I called my son in and gave him the pregnancy test to give to Daddy.  My husband read the stick and was as thrilled as I was. We had planned on having 2 or more children when we married. I have another son that was 15 at the time, I was hoping for another boy, my three sons.  We tried to hold off on telling friends and family but I was just so excited I could not keep the secret. I quickly told our friends and family.

First photos while pregnant, these were taken in June 2004. I am only a few weeks pregnant so there is no sign of baby yet.

This is me and my mom. I had just told her that if it's a girl we will be naming it Joanna after her.

This is me and my oldest son Casey.

On June 25,2004 my grandfather passed away from Cancer.  I had planned on doing the Cancer Relay for Life that night and decided to still go ahead and do the walk.  This will be the first of my 2 grandfathers to pass away while I was pregnant.

Me, my husband and Robbie doing the Relay for Life. The baby is still too small to see.

Luminary for my grandfather.

In July my husband and I took Robbie down to my parents house in Florida and went to Disney world on our own.  We knew this would be our last time vacationing on our own for a while.  I was only about 7 weeks pregnant now so I was exhausted. I took lots of naps while my husband sat by the pool. I won't go to Disney or Florida again in July, that's for sure.

This is me in July at Animal Kingdom, still no sign of Sammie. I am sticking out my belly though.

Right after the Florida trip we went on a camping hiking trip to NH with some friends in the Jaycees. We went up to Franconia Notch and had a wonderful time. This was the last time during my pregnancy that I felt good.
